As part of Feng’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection, this trench coat pays a heartfelt homage to her grandmother and childhood in Fujian, China. Using ancient botanical contact printing, Feng worked with local artisans to press her grandmother’s favourite plants like eucalyptus, gallnuts, onions and apple leaves onto Chinese silk.
The resulting unique patterns capture intricate organic details and vivid colours on fabric, expressing life’s vitality and tenacity that transcend time. This trench coat embodies the essence of nostalgia and love, a fusion of nature and enduring memory preserved in every stitch and imprint.
