(1877-1945)
Ohara Koson was a Japanese painter and print designer and part of the shin-hanga (‘new prints’) movement. During his school years he moved from a little village to Tokyo. There he started to produce some ukiyo-e triptychs illustrating episodes of the Russo-Japanese War, but most of his works were prints of birds and flowers.
